Out of My Comfort Zone With NerdLacquer's Crunchy Frog

NerdLacquer Crunchy Frog

Crunchy Frog...where do I begin?  When I first saw this color, I wasn't sure whether I thought it was really odd, or oddly awesome.  This was such a mysterious color to me...I just couldn't decide whether or not I liked it.  But once I put it on, there was no question.  I loved its brown, glittery, crunchy goodness.

Here's the official description:
CRUNCHY FROG is a revoltingly gorgeous milk chocolate shimmer base with emerald glitter, small and medium grass green hexagonal glitter, olive microglitter, and you might also notice some large chunks of silvery white. The bones, obviously. If we took the bones out it wouldn’t be crunchy, would it? The easily-nauseated should feel free to think of this color as “chocolate mint.”
Since I'm among the "easily-nauseated," I'm just going to describe it as "chocolate mint."  I don't like the taste of chocolate mint or things that taste like chicken, but aren't...however, I'll take chocolate mint on my nails if this is what it looks like :).

(Lots of pics inside!)

I really liked this on me.  I think it worked well, no?  I need to thank gutsandgrace for letting me borrow it (btw, for comparison, you need to check out her NerdLacquer Week post).  I don't own any NerdLacquer, and now have added several to my wish list.  Unfortunately for me, I'll be holding onto that wishlist for a while because the NerdLacquer Etsy store is still closed for vacation (boo! who needs a vacay when there's awesome polish to be had??....jk...kinda).

I had no application problems - as a matter of fact application was very smooth.  I used two coats in all the pics you see.  The only thing I was a bit annoyed about was that I couldn't get some of the glitter off the SIDES of the bottle.  I'm sure that glitter was put in there to be seen on my hands, not just in the bottle.  I tried to avoid shaking the bottle up because I know that can lead to bubbling, so I just ended up with whatever came out on the brush.

I want glittah!

In any case, I need some NerdLacquer in my life. Let's hope this little vacation ends soon so we can get our hands on some!
